Your startup website: from quick MVP to scalable platform
No €15,000 agency, no weeks of waffle: you talk straight to the person who builds. I'm a developer sparring partner for founders – and I build SaaS products myself, from landing page to web app.
Sound familiar?
- With agencies, your budget can burn through before the first customer shows up: concept phases, project management and rounds of approval cost money you need for product and sales.
- The website builder hits its limits as soon as your product needs its own logic: real-time features (WebSockets), custom interfaces (APIs) or individual user permissions.
- The investor pitch is getting closer and the website is still a draft – because approvals and feedback rounds take longer than the build.
- The prototype is unfinished: a clickable mock-up rarely convinces users or investors, and whatever was clicked together in a hurry often won't hold up once real users arrive.
The solution
Live fast – and built so you don't have to start over.
Lean launch in a few days
We start with what explains your product: a clear page, a way to sign up or get in touch, privacy policy and legal notice. The rest comes when you need it. That way your first presence is often up within a few days instead of weeks.
Real web-app experience with Stripe & APIs
I build products myself, not shop windows: gastkumpel with payments via Stripe, tableroom with real time over WebSockets, zeitkumpel with DATEV export – plus REST API connections, for example to WeClapp and WooCommerce. What your product will need later – login, payments, integrations – I know from my own work.
Modular and growing with you
I build in modules and without provider lock-in: multilingual support, sign-up, payments or a web app are added when you need them – without throwing away today's website. Source code and documentation belong to you, including for your future development team.
How you go live
-
Get to know each other & set the goal
We talk about your product, your first customers and what has to be there on day one – and what can wait. I'll tell you honestly what you don't need right now.
-
Build the MVP & show it
I build the leanest version that explains your product and collects sign-ups or enquiries. You see progress on a protected preview – while changes are still cheap.
-
Go live & grow
After launch I stay your contact: we look at what visitors really do and build the next modules when you need them – from sign-up to web app.
From practice
zeitkumpel: from a warehouse tool to a product of my own
I developed zeitkumpel from the time tracking for the junaspin warehouse: a product in its own right for individuals and teams, with kiosk terminal, RFID chip and DATEV export. Concept, software and hardware from one source – I've walked the road from first prototype to product myself.

What does a startup website or an MVP cost?
That depends on what has to be there on day one: a lean page with sign-up is something different from a web app with login and payment. After a free intro call you get a written quote with clear line items – gladly in stages, so you have something usable early and only pay for what you need now.
How fast can my website be live (time to market)?
A lean page with a clear message and a way to get in touch is often up within a few days to weeks – depending on how quickly texts and decisions are ready. A web app with login, payments and integrations we plan in stages so you can show something early.
Will the website grow with my startup (scalability)?
Yes, if it's built that way from the start: in modules, with a clean data model and without provider lock-in. Multilingual support, sign-up, payments or a web app can be added without starting over. If many users arrive at the same time, we plan hosting and database to match. And when you have your own development team later, it takes over documented code instead of a website builder.
Is it enough for the investor pitch (investor readiness)?
Investors don't just look at the idea, they look at whether the team can deliver. A fast, clear website with a working demo or sign-up shows that better than a clickable mock-up. And for questions about the technology – hosting, privacy, scaling – you have short, solid answers.
Isn't a website builder or social media enough to begin with?
A website builder can be enough for a first test. As soon as you want to win customers, map your own workflows or manage your data yourself, a foundation of your own pays off: social media is reach on someone else's ground, your website is your own house. More under “Website Builder Alternative”.
I only have an idea so far – is a conversation still worth it?
Yes, especially then. I ask about your customers and numbers before I write a single line of code, and tell you honestly what you need now and what you don't. The intro call is free and without obligation.
Project or problem?
Tell me about it.
Whether it’s a new project or IT that just needs to work again: a quick call or a few lines are enough. I’ll tell you honestly what I think – and what it takes.
